OUR STORY
In August of 2000, Christian Community Chapel (CCC) was born out of a small group meeting with Pastor Steve and Pam Nash and seven other couples. CCC had an unorthodox beginning and moved between the Somerset Marriott, Ramada Inn, and Quality Inn for the first few months. One year later, CCC purchased Brookhaven Farm in Hillsborough and constructed a beautiful sanctuary in an ideal location right on Route 206. This served as our home for over a decade.
In 2010, CCC saw the need for a support network and voted to join the Wesleyan Church denomination. Upon joining we became "one of the most diverse Wesleyan churches in North America." In 2015, CCC made the strategic decision to relocate in order to maximize ministry effectiveness. We sold the property on Route 206 to another wonderful church, and purchased Ram Hill Farm, our current home on 121 South Branch Road.
Today, we are at an exciting time in our church's history! We are relaunching as The Loft Wesleyan Church (The Loft) and are undertaking an incredible renovation project, converting a historic barn into a church sanctuary. The Loft is excited to fulfill its God-given vision to transform Hillsborough and the world with the love of Jesus Christ! Be a part of our story!
Revs. Joel E. & Annalee Davis
Lead Pastor
Pastor Joel Davis is ordained in The Wesleyan Church. He is our Lead Pastor. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Education, a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling, and many years of course-work and Biblical study. Pastor Joel has an extensive background in music and songwriting, and has produced two CD’s of all-original songs for praise, worship and glorifying God. He has been a classroom teacher, a seminar presenter, and a college adjunct professor. Pastor Joel spent many years in the “marketplace” in executive positions, and even had his own software and systems company for more than twenty years. He brings a diverse collection of experience from show business, technical pursuits, business, administration, teaching, counseling and theological study. Pastor Davis’ vision for The Loft Wesleyan Church centers on helping each person in the congregation (and every visitor) to know God more completely, and walk in His love and grace daily.
Pastor Annalee Davis is also ordained in the Wesleyan Church. Although technically “retired” from ministry, Pastor Annalee continues to minister in numerous ways (through masterful musicianship, leading of devotions, and individual counseling) helping to strengthen and encourage the entire congregation.
